If you are experiencing difficulties communicating with the Designer SE with the 4D Embroidery Software please do the following.
A. Please check to see if the Designer SE communication 3D Embroidery software is installed on your computer and remove it if found:
1. Click the Start button.
2. Select Control Panel from the menu.
3. Open Add or Remove Programs.
4. Locate the Designer SE communications 3D Embroidery software.
5. Click the Remove button and follow the prompts.
B. Please locate the sewing machine icon next to the clock display on the lower right corner of your computer screen. If it is not present, please do the following:
1. Open 4D Configure.
2. Click the Send 1 or Send 2 tab.
3. Click the Designer SE Communications button. This should restore the sewing machine icon and you should be able to communicate with the Designer SE.
C. If you have a red circle around the sewing machine icon, please do the following.
1. Insert the 4D Embroidery installation disc.
2. Allow the installation wizard to begin.
3. Select the "Install Drivers for Windows Vista/XP" from the menu and follow the prompts and instructions.*
*Note: If a message indicates that drivers will be removed, please continue to follow the prompts to remove them and repeat Step C to properly install the drivers.
